Round 5 - Update
The 19th July 2009 saw the running of the Clym Dwyer Meeting. The annual race for the Zamels Plate and the Keith Morten Plate.
After a not so good round the month prior after the leaking of oil from the Left Head this round was hopefully going to look better after a crack was found in the head in where the oil was leaking from.
Qualifying saw the Ajay qualify in 5th position with only completing 1 qualifying lap as the 4 year old tyres could not handle the pressure. Race one saw the Ajay off to a good start with lap times up with the fastests of the 1600 but again the 4 year old tyres could not handle the presure and started to go off by the end of the race. The Ajay finished in 5th.
Race 2 saw the pace of Ajay being up with the best but unfiortunatly the starter motor stayed engaaged and after the race the Ajay caught on fire and had to be put out with an extinguisher.
Race three saw the Ajay completing without a starter motor so that made it difficult. Together this this problem and the tyres the Aay retired on the second lap when the tyres gave way and the ajay was unable to stop at turn three and ended up embeded in the sand trap for the rest of the race.
The Ajay looks forward to the Truck meeting in September which will be on the short circuit.

Round 2 - Update
Round 2 of the WA State Championship was held on the 14th March 2009. A full grid of cars where back from Bathurst.
Qualifying saw Brett Scarey lap in the low 57's together with the top 5 cars. But once again after lap 4 of qualifying Brett Scarey lost Oil Presure and had to return to the pits.
Not knowing what the problem is the thought pf thread tape in the oil presure sensor may be the problem as this has been resposnible in the past. That was a big mistake removing the oil sensir from the block as what was found was that the thread in the block was threaded and could not be put back in. So once again the car was retired from the round and once again the Scarey Racing Team look forward to Round 3.

Round 1 - Update
Round one of the WA State Championship was held on the 21st February 2009. With a small grid of vees due to 7 cars headed east for Bathurst gave the Scarey Racing Team a good opportunity to get of to a flying start for 2009.
Unfortunatly due to lack of develop on the car during the season break the season did not get off with any luck. Still with electronic problems the car had no power and the handling was much worse. After qualifying in the mid pack a lot of work was needed to get back up to the front. After Qualifying the electronic problem was solved by removing the balance resistor.
Race 1. After the balance resistor was removed full power was back on baord. Starting rear of grid for race 1 saw the Ajay in full power but with the mishandling made if difficult to get good lap times in. After race one Brett Scarey was able to work his way through the field into 4 position.
Race 2. Saw Brett Scarey starting in 4th position. As the green light went Brett quickly made it into second position but by lap two dramas continued with a loose tapped nut which returned Brettt back to the pits and the car onto the trailer.
Hopefully Round 2 of the WA State Titles will be more successful.
